They called it love

They called it love.
1/12/14

They called it love when I pressed that button.
I was told “she’d want this, you told us so”
Did I know? Did I know?
I did, she’d spoke about it often.
No burden would she ever be.
My sophisticated enchantress,
In the dark void of eternity.

They called it love when I put that ring on her finger.
Brushed her hair from her eyes and let my arm linger.
Did I know? Did I know?
I did. She’d spoke about it often.
No burden would she ever be.
My sophisticated enchantress
Floating down the isle with me.

They called it love when we had our first, second and third.
Did I know? Did I know?
I did. We’d spoken about it often.
No burden would she ever be.
My sophisticated enchantress,
The fourth, our three and me.
